Question 4 evalutation: Who would be the audience for your media product?

My magazine is aimed at young adults/teenagers, the age group of 16-20 years old, usually students. My magazine is aimed at both males and females that have a deep interest in music, my target audience would fit into the JIGNAR scale as C2DE this is usually students or people with a low pay. I have aimed my magazine at students because of the artists I’ve featured for example young artists like Crystal castles.

I have asked several members of my target audience questions relating to where they are on the JIGNAR scale by this I’ve asked them what job they have. Most of my audiences are unemployed because they are students however some of them have part time jobs for example Eve Foran works at McDonalds.

I have interviewed each person and asked them these questions:

What type of job do they do? How do they dress? Where do they shop?  What type of house/ flat do they live in? What do they value in life? Where do they go when they socialise? What types of things do they spend their money on? How do they spend their free time?, What car do they drive or aspire to drive? What phone do they own? How do they listen to music, online, CDs, spotify/ sound cloud etc.?
I first interviewed Eve Foran she is an ideal reader this is because she fits the target audience, Eve is 16 years old and works and McDonalds.

My second interviewer was Max Ward also an ideal reader, Max fits perfectly with the target audience again a 16 year old student however Max is unemployed.
